Hello Ensign land! I am writing to you from warm, but currently wet, South Carolina where we will hold the 2019 Ensign Mid-Winter Regatta March 22-24. The NOR and Registration forms are posted on the Lake Murray Sailing Club website http://lmsc.org/mid-winter-regatta.
We are planning a great regatta! Along with three wonderful days of sailing in March, you can expect great company, old friends, new friends and fantastic food. If that is not enough, we have ordered up beautiful weather, fun door prizes, more beer and wine too.
Instead of counting snowflakes, you Ensign sailors in New England, Michigan, Mid-Atlantic and any cold areas (like Ohio, New York and others) get on your computers and register for a really fun regatta and a great break from the winter weather. That leaves, Florida, Texas, North Carolina, Alabama and other unnamed warm spots, while our weather will probably not beat yours in March, it should be as good and don't forget we have the friends, old and new, food, the beer, wine, and racing --so on this rainy day, or soon, sit down at your friendly computer and register!
If you register before February 1, I can promise you 4 hats with the boat name, sail number, and of course, the Ensign emblem--after February 1, well, no promises.
The Columbian, our local magazine will feature the Ensign Mid-Winter Regatta as their cover story in the March issue. We want to make a big splash with this Ensign regatta.
Speaking of "splash"-- you do not have to get your trailer wet! We can launch your boat, if you desire, on our trailer.
