Hi Rich,

Thanks for your post about the Ronstan roller furling system for hanked on sails. What is the tack height on it compared to the tack when attached to the bow stem fitting? Are you offering these for sale?

I went with a Harken drum unit, handed on sail. Not sure of the model but same unit as used on the J 70. We had a few teething issues but all in all it works well. Very helpful when you get caught short on crew!

I would like to state that I feel quantum has the best made sails. And performance speaks for itself.

UK sails in Texas  is good with Ensign Racing sails. Talk to Pedro. Much better price than North, Quantum or  Doyle . If not racing an outfit like precision sails will be good quality at a much lower price

Not sure if I can recommend a chute, but where are you at with a furling system for your Genoa? Attached is a photo of the low profile, continuous line Ronstan system that facilitates a low tack height while accommodating a standard hanked on luff to allow for critical adjustability, and has an incorporated turnbuckle for easy forestay length management. 

This system promotes longevity and great care of your sail, but at the same time you can exchange headsails while even on the water in wanted.

Shopping for a new chute over this fall/winter. Who is the go do loft these days ? We have a North main and Genoa I’m pretty happy with but open to other ideas for the spinnaker.
