Boat Description: Professional restoration, adhering to original Pearson Ensign Class specifications. The hull was stripped, repaired, faired, and Awlgrip-primed from topsides to keel bottom. The ballast was removed, inspected and reinstalled. The deck was removed, and a new deck purchased from Ensign Spars. The forward and aft bulkheads, cabin companionway, cabin berths and floor, and cockpit sole have all been rebuilt. New teak cockpit deck near completion and teak for benches milled. Materials purchased (not installed) include a rub-rail kit and pour-able flotation foam. Existing equipment includes rudder, mast, boom, standing and running rigging, two genoa winches and genoa halyard winch. Many of the original fittings have been re-chromed including genoa tracks, cabin hardware, tiller head and assembly, bow stem head, rub-rail caps, and engine bracket. The boat, originally named “La Mouette”, won the 1984 Ensign Class New England Regionals and 1985 Ensign Class Nationals. Present owner was the tactician crew member on “La Mouette” during this time and later renamed the boat “Amazing Grace.” Additional pictures are available on request. Trailer Description: Dual axle, galvanized with hydraulic brakes, bow stop and 4 hull support stands, mounted ladder, spare tire and trailer mount, chrome rims and tongue extension for float off. Trailer has never been in the water. Only used to transport boat to marina.
